Permanent full-time working across our Subiaco and Claremont Clinics.

Duties include:  

  • Welcoming clients to the clinic
  • Booking new appointments
  • Scheduling follow up appointments
  • Answering incoming calls and managing a very busy phone lines
  • Liaising and supporting our clinical psychology team
  • Invoicing and receipting clients in many different formats
  • Database management to ensure clients information is correct

 

Requirements for the role:  

  • Must be a “people person” with a natural ability for making people feel comfortable and welcome
  • Previous experience working in a medical reception role is desired
  • Previous experience using a medical/health software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • High attention to detail – extremely thorough with administration tasks
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
  • Have a positive, mature approach and be flexible with administration tasks
  • Previous experience using software for complex invoicing
  • Willing to provide a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Willing to work until 7.30 pm on two days a week

Dr Clair Lawson leads a highly professional, growing and diverse clinical psychology practice. Adopting a range of evidence-based approaches, Clair draws on 18 years of experience in child and adolescent mental health to inform her therapy for clients of all ages – with particular expertise in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

An active member of the clinical psychology field, Clair publishes papers and presents at international conferences. She also provides clinical supervision for her practice and Master of Clinical Psychology students at the University of Western Australia.

Rebecca Jamieson graduated from the University of WA in 2005. Since this time she has had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in public and private health services. She provides individualised evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health difficulties, including the treatment of anxiety disorders, for example, generalised anxiety, panic; depression; emotion regulation difficulties, including self-harm, and relationship difficulties.

Rebecca is a member of the Psychologists Board of WA; Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and Member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists.

Michelle Lund

 

Michelle Lund has worked with children, adolescents and adults who experience a range of psychological issues since 2005. Clare has 10 years of experience in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and their families. She has worked across private, community-based and public health services in Perth as well as in Singapore.

Clare provides evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health disorders. Dr Caitlin is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor. Dr Lisa Saulsman

 

Lisa graduated from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2005.  She worked in public mental health for many years, primarily working with adults with depressive and anxiety disorders. Her clinical practice draws on a range of evidence-based treatments, particularly cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) and metacognitive therapy.  Lisa also holds a special interest in using acceptance, mindfulness, self-compassion and mental imagery strategies to enhance CBT.

Lisa has been involved in the development of new psychological treatments for anxiety and depression, social anxiety, worry and rumination, and the general management of emotions. Lisa has co-authored popular online self-help resources covering numerous clinical issues, such as worry, self-esteem, distress intolerance, self-compassion, procrastination, health anxiety and body dysmorphia.  Through her career Lisa has trained mental health professionals across Western Australia, and now works part-time as a Senior Lecturer at UWA, contributing to the training of developing clinical psychologists.

Melissa Mulcahy Clinical Psychologist

Melissa Mulcahy

 

Melissa is a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who works with adolescents and adults. She is experienced in working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, worry and rumination, suicidality, self-harm, bulimia nervosa, emotional dysregulation, and in youth mental health. Melissa completed PhD in Clinical Psychology with a thesis on perinatal OCD (pregnancy and the postpartum) and also holds a Master of Suicidology degree. She has a strong interest in the treatment of tic disorders and OCD-related problems, including health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs) such trichotillomania and excoriation/skin-picking.

She also enjoys working with clients experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties, insomnia, perfectionism, and chronic pain. Her therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Melissa individualises treatment to each client’s goals, based on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Melissa is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and a State Committee Member for the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Katie Astley Clinical Psychologist

Katie Astley

 

Katie is experienced working with children, adolescents and adults providing therapy and assessment.  She enjoys working collaboratively with individuals to develop a strong therapeutic relationship and tailors therapy to each person’s unique circumstances. Katie sees individuals with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and attachment issues, and emotional difficulties.

Katie enjoys completing neurodivergent assessments and has several years’ experience conducting complex autism assessments on behalf of government departments and in private practice. She is passionate about supporting young people, their families, and adults, particularly those who may have missed an early childhood diagnosis, to navigate the autism assessment process and facilitate ongoing support.

Chloe Giffard

 

Chloe works with children, adolescents and adults. She sees individuals with a range of presentations, including anxiety, stress, perfectionism, depression, emotion regulation difficulties and interpersonal difficulties. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia, and her research explores the relationships between social anxiety, shyness, autistic-like traits and face recognition.

Kathryn Althorpe

 

Kathryn is a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who works with children aged five years and older, adolescents and adults.
