Dr Clair Lawson

I’m Dr Clair Lawson, the founder and Director of Lawson Clinical Psychology. I started LCP over 16 years ago because I wanted to create a practice where clinicians could do meaningful, evidence-based work and feel safe, supported and proud of what they achieve.

What began as one small clinic has grown into a group of practices, including services in remote communities. But for me, it’s not about size or numbers. It’s about the people. It’s about the culture we’ve built together and the way we show up for each other and our clients every day. When clinicians feel valued and connected, great care follows. That’s what really matters.

People describe me as direct, fair and transparent. I believe in being clear and honest, working together, and creating a space where people can do their best work without unnecessary stress. I care deeply about building a team that strives for excellence because they believe in what we’re doing.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me planning my next trip, baking something messy or being followed around by my cat, Ziggy.

Sonja Williams

Making the decision to see a psychologist can feel daunting, but as the saying goes, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Together, we’ll take one step at a time, working on what’s important to you, at a pace that feels right for you.

I’m Sonja, a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked with adults for over 20 years. I support clients who have difficult family patterns, trauma, anxiety, stress, low mood, and that feeling of being “not good enough.” Together, we’ll explore how things came to be, break free from unhelpful patterns, and take meaningful steps toward emotional wellness and a more fulfilling life.

Clients describe my approach as warm, open, non-judgemental, and compassionate. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches to find the right fit for them. Approaches include EMDR, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

I’m also passionate about mentoring and supervising early-career and experienced psychologists, and value the opportunity to give back to the profession.

Rebecca Jamieson

Hi, I’m Rebecca, a compassionate and collaborative Senior Clinical Psychologist who works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

I support clients experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, emotion regulation difficulties (such as self-harm and suicidal ideation), adjustment issues, parent–child attachment concerns, parenting difficulties, and relationship challenges.

My strength is tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Systemic Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapies.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m also a board-approved supervisor and love supporting other psychologists through individual and group supervision. I’m registered with the Psychologists Board of WA and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.

Warmth, curiosity, and care are at the heart of how I work. Whether I’m in the room with a client or supervising a fellow psychologist, I strive to create a space that feels safe and supportive.

Kelly Fullarton

Understanding yourself or your child shouldn’t feel overwhelming. I’m here to provide clarity and direction.

I’m Kelly, a clinical psychologist with over 18 years of experience in both cognitive assessment and therapeutic work. I have substantial experience understanding how people think, learn, and experience the world, providing assessments for learning disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, giftedness, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

I work with individuals of all ages, helping them and their families make sense of their strengths and challenges through cognitive assessments. Whether your child is struggling in the classroom, your teen feels overwhelmed, or you’re an adult wondering why things have always felt a little harder, I offer insights that can open doors to the right support and strategies.

My approach is warm, thorough, and practical—I believe assessments should be more than just a report; they should be a roadmap to your success. I also love mentoring and supervising other psychologists and sharing my knowledge to help improve assessment practices.

Gemma Bowden

I’m Gemma, a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Since graduating in 2000, I’ve supported people through many different challenges by drawing on evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.

I love working with adults experiencing challenges with stress, anxiety (including worry, panic and social anxiety) and/or depression. I also support clients with adjustment difficulties, work-related problems and relationship concerns—all issues impacting people's overall well-being.

Helping people develop resilience and coping strategies for life is my passion. In session, I bring curiosity, compassion and a focus on practical, evidence-based strategies that empower you to manage life’s challenges with greater confidence. My approach is structured yet flexible, always shaped by your unique needs.

Michelle Jongenelis Clinical Psychologist

Dr Michelle Jongenelis

I’m Dr Michelle, a clinical psychologist who works with adults experiencing a range of psychological challenges, including depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, bipolar disorder, and stress.

My approach draws on evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Meta-Cognitive Therapy, to support people to feel more like themselves again.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m also a behavioural scientist, researching risk factors for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. I’m passionate about making research-backed insights accessible, and I regularly collaborate with non-government organisations to help ensure important findings reach the people and communities who need them most.

Dr Lucy Robertson

Sarah Hollingworth

Sarah Hollingworth works with adolescents and adults. Sarah provides a warm, non-judgemental and supportive environment, tailoring treatment to the individual. She works with people who have experienced anxiety, trauma, school or relationship stresses. She uses a number of evidence based treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, family systems therapy and mentalization-based therapy.

Sarah enjoys providing therapy for neurodivergent people and members of the LGBTIQA+ community. She provides a neuro-affirming approach and is aligned with the Health at Every Size (HAES) movement. She is also well versed in working with clients who have autoimmune conditions and the complex relationship this has with mental health.

Sarah has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Family and Relationship Therapy. As an AHPRA approved supervisor, Sarah enjoys mentoring and supervising trainees and registrars.

I’m Emily (She/Her), a senior clinical psychologist, helping teens and adults to not only reduce the not-so-good stuff they’re feeling, but get more of what they want in life. I work with clients who want to trust their own judgment and find freedom from relationship and family patterns.

With six years’ experience in private practice, I’ve worked with clients feeling down, anxious, experiencing relationship or family issues, exploring neurodivergence, sexuality and or gender identity, people impacted by trauma, and those experiencing or recovering from family and domestic violence.

Clients often say that I am quiet, calm, and gentle, offering space to reflect. I bring a warm, playful, and transparent approach to therapy and don’t shy away from being direct when needed.

Esha Jamnadass

Mental health support is something many of us may need at some point in our lives. I strive to be a safe space for people to receive support without judgement. It’s a privilege to be trusted to walk alongside someone on their mental health journey.

My name’s Dr Esha, a Senior Clinical Psychologist and couples therapist. I work with children, adolescents and adults who need support with anxiety (generalised, separation, social), phobias, PTSD, behavioural difficulties, eating disorders, OCD and mood difficulties. Helping support ADHDers and autistic individuals in achieving their goals is something I care deeply about. Another passion of mine is supporting couples with relationship difficulties in couples' therapy.

My approach is warm, gentle, collaborative and emotion-focused. Dr Kim Eaton

Dr Gemma Healey

Gemma has experience working with a range of presenting problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, emotion dysregulation, insomnia and trauma (adults only) in children, adolescents, and adults. In her client work, she draws from a range of evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, metacognitive therapy, and schema therapy.

Gemma has also completed training in imagery re-scripting for PTSD, and in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Gemma's approach to therapy is flexible with treatment plans being developed in collaboration with clients to ensure the needs of each individual are met.

Melissa Mulcahy

Melissa is a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who works with adolescents and adults. She is experienced in working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, worry and rumination, suicidality, self-harm, bulimia nervosa, emotional dysregulation, and in youth mental health. Melissa completed PhD in Clinical Psychology with a thesis on perinatal OCD (pregnancy and the postpartum) and also holds a Master of Suicidology degree. She has a strong interest in the treatment of tic disorders and OCD-related problems, including health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs) such trichotillomania and excoriation/skin-picking.

She also enjoys working with clients experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties, insomnia, perfectionism, and chronic pain. Her therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Melissa individualises treatment to each client’s goals, based on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Dr Chloe Giffard

I’m Chloe, a clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. The people I work with are struggling with anxiety, stress, perfectionism, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, and interpersonal difficulties.

It’s important for me to understand the research underlying psychology so that I can bring these insights into my therapeutic work. I’m Jessica, a senior clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor. I also hold a leadership position at LCP, which is focused on the culture and wellbeing of our team.

When you come to see me, you’ll immediately feel warmly welcomed. What you’ll get with me is my unbroken focus. I listen well and I listen deep. I genuinely love spending time with people no matter how they might be feeling—it’s why I do what I do.

Dr Stephanie Stevens

Stephanie has many years experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, their families, and adults. She has worked predominately in community-based health services within both the child and adult sectors. This has provided Stephanie with opportunity to work with a range of mental health disorders. She is most passionate about treating depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and trauma/PTSD, for adolescents and adults individually, as well as with family interventions.

Stephanie provides evidence-based treatment and primarily utilises Mentalisation-based Therapy (MBT) and Schema Therapy. Tara Stowe

I’m Tara, a human, just like everyone else, and also a psychologist who understands that we all have our struggles.

Since completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Curtin University, in 2014, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Sebastian Palmer

It’s easy to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or lost—like you’re staring at a compass that never points in one direction long enough to get where you want to be. I know it because I’ve felt it.

My name’s Seb(astian), a Clinical Psychologist. I work with people across the lifespan using evidence-based interventions to support meaningful, positive change. Over the past five years, I’ve worked as a psychologist in justice and domestic violence, youth mental health, sexual assault and trauma, and private practice.

What I keep central in my work is authenticity—human-to-human work, collaborating with people to help in ways that matter to them and create lasting change.

I’m an ISST-accredited Schema Therapist, and I integrate Schema Therapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Don’t worry about the acronyms—what matters is I’m an exploratory psychologist who gets into the nitty-gritty (when needed) to find and address the root cause.

Supporting someone through therapy often means walking with them in a way that feels steady, warm, and gently encouraging—sometimes guiding, sometimes matching their pace, and sometimes simply holding space when things feel overwhelming.

I’m Julia, a Clinical Psychology Registrar, and I’m passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults to better understand themselves and feel more grounded in their everyday lives. I have a particular interest in neurodiversity and eating disorders, and I often work with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation, identity exploration, and challenges at school, work, or within relationships.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and steady. I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, and Schema-informed approaches, adapting each to suit your goals and energy. Whether you come in with a clear direction or just a sense that something needs to shift, we can figure it out together at a pace that feels manageable.

In our sessions, you can expect thoughtful conversations, practical strategies, and collaborative mapping to make sense of what’s going on. I aim to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to be fully yourself.

Joshua Davis

It is natural to feel apprehensive about speaking with someone you have never met about very personal challenges you are facing. My goals while working with you are to help you feel comfortable and safe about opening up and to work at your pace on issues that are important to you.

I’m Josh, a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults. My clinical experience over the past 23 years is very broad as I have resisted the urge to specialise in certain challenges, however I have developed some interest areas that I am passionate about. My work with adults has included assisting them to deal with relationship difficulties, all types of anxiety, depression, bipolar, work stress, friendship difficulties, ADHD, autism, schizophrenia, work related challenges, trauma, significant life events, life stress, a life changing medical diagnosis, and parenting.

I use an eclectic approach drawing mainly from ACT, CBT, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, and Transactional Analysis to achieve powerful outcomes for my clients. I would describe my therapeutic style as highly relational and warm, with a good dose of humour at times yet directive and clear when you need me to be. In fact, clients often comment that they feel they can tell me anything which allows us to work more directly and effectively on what really matters.

In my spare time, you will find me walking my border collie, spending time with family and friends, or at the beach.

Our team of clinical psychologists have a minimum of six years clinical university training, plus hospital and outpatient workplace experience treating a range of psychological difficulties.
